Court rejects ADC and APP requests against Governor Ikpeazu



The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, on Thursday, expelled the request documented by the gubernatorial applicant of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kelenna Obonna against the triumph of the Peoples Democratic Party hopeful, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The three-person board of the council additionally struck out the suit founded against the senator, by the Action Peoples Party (APP) hopeful, Okey Igwe, testing the presence of Ikpeazu as the victor of the closed March 9 governorship decision held in Abia state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Responding at the decision, Barrister Suleiman Ukandu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, placed that the expulsion of the petitions was a reasonable sign that the PDP overwhelmingly won the March 9 gubernatorial race in the country.

He approached the competitors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Uche Ogah and the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Alex Otti, to pull back their petitions and hold hands with the senator to convey law based profits to the doorsteps of Abia individuals.

The government official stated, “each living things realizes that PDP won the division convincingly. I will advise Uche Ogah and Alex Otti, for the intrigue and advancement of Abia state to pull back petitions.
