A High Court sitting in Kano on Friday, ceased the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Kano State House of Assembly, the Speaker, Clerk of the Assembly, including the Attorney-General and the State from actualizing the part of the Kano Emirate.

The exparte movement dated May 10, 2019, was recorded by the offended party, Hon. Sule Gwarzo, before Justice Nasiru Saminu, looking for the CCourt to control the respondents from making any move of making four extra Emirates.

In a request of interval order, the Court guided all gatherings in this suit to keep up existing conditions, pending the meeting and assurance of the movement on notice.

On Wednesday, Ganduje consented to the Kano Emirs Appointment and Deposition Amendment Bill 2019, after its section by the State Assembly.

The Kano State House of Assembly passed a bill, building up to four other emirates and four top of the line emirs in the State.‎

The bill started on Monday passed first perusing on Tuesday and scaled through second and third perusing on Wednesday.

Ganduje, who talked following marking the bill into law, said: “this is the thing that the general population of Kano State needs”.
