Kidnappers release abducted OAU lecturer
Abductors of Prof Olayinka Adegbehingbe, who was kidnapped on Sunday evening along Ile-Ife/Ibadan expressway, have released him.
Adegbehingbe, a lecturer in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, was kidnapped around Ikoyi, a town in Isokan local government area of Osun state.
Moses Olafare, the Director of Media, Ooni Palace, Ile Ife, told our correspondent that Adegbehingbe’s wife, Bernice, confirmed the release of her husband in a telephone conversation on Monday.
“I spoke to the wife and she confirmed that Prof Adegbehingbe had been released. Thanks for your support,” Olafare said.
Spokesperson for Osun State police command, SP Folasade Odoro, also told our correspondent that Adegbehingbe had been released
